Rain Does Not Deter Knights in Wire-To-Wire Win

IL Charlotte Knights MOOSIC, PA- The Charlotte Knights and the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders waited out a two-hour and thirty-three-minute rain delay at PNC Park on Friday night. The game, which was originally scheduled to begin at 6:35pm and last nine innings, was shortened to a seven-inning affair and saw its first pitch thrown at 9:08pm. MWL Quad Cities River Bandits Davenport, Iowa - Daniel Vazquez stacked up five of the River Bandits' season-high 18 hits on Friday, as Quad Cities defeated the Peoria Chiefs 13-4 at Modern Woodmen Park. The 5-for-5 effort, a first in the infielder's five-year minor league career, was one of six multi-hit efforts from Quad Cities' lineup.
