60 CHL Players Set to Compete at 2025 World Juniors
December 26, 2024 - TORONTO, ON - The Canadian Hockey League (CHL) is proud to announce that a total of 60 CHL players (see complete list of players below) will represent their home countries at the 2025 IIHF World Junior Championship which begins today (December 26) in Ottawa, Ontario, and runs through to January 5. The 60 CHL players account for over 25% of the players participating at the 2025 World Juniors, which is the largest of any development hockey league in the world. Rangers Announce Signing of 2024 Draft Pick Jacob Xu
December 23, 2024 - Kitchener, ON - The Kitchener Rangers announced today the signing of Jacob Xu (Jacob ZOO) to an OHL Scholarship and Development Agreement. Xu, 16, spent last season - his draft season, in the GTHL playing for the Toronto Jr. Canadiens U16 AAA. In 37 games with the Jr. Canadiens, he amassed 39 points scoring 10 goals along with 29 assists. So far this season, the 6-foot-2 defenceman has suited up in 22 games for the Trenton Golden Hawks of the OJHL recording 11 points (3G 8A), before being traded to the King Rebellion w... December 23, 2024 - FLINT - The Ontario Hockey League announced on Monday that Firebirds goaltender Nathan Day has been named the OHL's Goaltender of the Week. Day was in net for both of the Firebirds games during the past week, both of which were wins over the Saginaw Spirit. He went 2-0-0-0 with a 2.50 goals against average and a .925 save percentage. Day faced a combined 67 shots in the two games and made 62 saves. A 2023 sixth-round selection of the Edmonton Oilers, Day has appeared in 28 of Flint's 32 games this season. He is 14-12-1...
