Magic Defeat Wolves in Final Game of the Season

March 25, 2023 - The Lakeland Magic defeated the Iowa Wolves in Des Moines, 133-121 in the final game of the season on Saturday night. After a four-way tiebreaker, Lakeland ended the season in eighth place in the Eastern Conference and missed the playoffs. Jay Scrubb led the Magic with a team-high 24 points off the bench, while Zavier Simpson tallied 20 points and 15 assists. Au'Diese Toney and Robert Baker II also added 20 points each. Orlando Magic Sign Free Agent Jay Scrubb to Two-Way Contract

March 24, 2023 - The Orlando Magic have signed free agent guard Jay Scrubb to a two-way contract, President of Basketball Operations Jeff Weltman announced today. Per team policy, terms of the deal are not disclosed. Scrubb (6'5", 220, 9/1/00) has played in 27 games (25 starts) this season with Lakeland of the NBA G League, averaging 22.3 ppg., 5.9 rpg. and 2.3 apg. in 31.1 minpg. Magic Keep Playoff Hopes Alive at Home

March 24, 2023 - Zavier Simpson scored a game-high 31 points, while Jay Scrubb added 25 points, as the Lakeland Magic beat the Long Island Nets, 115-113, on Thursday night. Kaiser Gates netted 27 points off the bench, while David Duke Jr. tallied 24 points for the Nets. Lakeland Magic and Mosaic Fight Local Hunger

March 23, 2023 - LAKELAND, FL - The Hoops for Hunger program was designed in partnership with the Lakeland Magic and The Mosaic Company to raise money to provide meals to local children in need. Now in its fifth year of existence, the program benefits KidsPACK and One More Child, local non-profits aimed at decreasing food insecurity for the children of Central Florida communities.
