Eagles Look to Even Series Tonight in Baie-Comeau

April 26, 2024 - After suffering just their second loss of the post-season last night, the Cape Breton Eagles will look to even up their QMJHL semi-final series against the Baie-Comeau Drakkar tonight. Baie-Comeau took a 1-0 series lead with a 4-0 victory in the opening contet last night. It was a fast start that paced the home side to a victory in the series opener- Raoul Boilard scoring the first goal at 2:17 and the Drakkar building a 3-0 lead by the 12 minute mark mark. Eagles Fall to Drakkar in Opening Game of League Semi-Final

April 25, 2024 - Boilard's goal came just 2:17 into the opening frame on a play that started with his brother Jules. After the older brother won the puck in the corner, he found Gill who fed it across the crease for the Raoul Boilard opening goal. The Drakkar almost had a 2-0 early but a would be second goal was waived off due to goaltender interference. The second marker came just past the halfway mark of the opening stanza when Poirier jumped into the play to cash in on a cross ice pass from Isaac Dufort. 77 seconds later, Gill expanded... Eagles Milota Attending U18 Worlds with Czechia

April 25, 2024 - Cape Breton Eagles rookie goaltender Jakub Milota will play with team Czechia at the U18 World Hockey Championships this week in Finland. Due to contractual conditions within his QMJHL contract, the 18-year-old was obligated to compete for his home country, despite the Eagles current playoff run which enters game one of the third round tonight in Baie-Comeau, QC. Eagles Open Third Round Tonight in Baie-Comeau

April 25, 2024 - For just the third time in franchise history, and for the first time since 2007, the Cape Breton Eagles are in the third round of the QMJHL playoffs. Tonight they begin their league semi-finals against the Baie-Comeau Drakkar, a team that also hasn't been to the league semi-finals in a decade. The two clubs have taken different paths this season to arrive in the same destination.
