Burish Gets Name on Stanley Cup

(Green Bay, WI) - Chicago Blackhawks forward Adam Burishis the latest Green Bay Gamblersalumni to win the Stanley Cup as Chicago topped the Philadelphia Flyers in overtime of Game Six to win the final series four games to two.

Burish played the 2001-02 with the Gamblers, registering 57 points (24g, 33a) while playing in all 61 regular season games. Burish becomes the second former Gambler to have his name on Lord Stanley, joining Ryan Carter (Anaheim 2006-07).

Joining Burish on the Blackhawks roster is former Thunder Bay Flyers forward Patrick Sharp. Burish and Sharp become the 14th and 15th USHL alumni who will now have their names engraved on the Stanley Cup. It is the fifth straight season that at least one former USHL player has captured the Stanley Cup.
