NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. - The South Carolina Stingrays (29-5-3-1) got ahead early with two goals in the first and defeated the Jacksonville Icemen (12-20-4-0) by a final score of 4-1 for their fourth straight win on Friday night at the North Charleston Coliseum. ROCHESTER, NY - The AHL's Cleveland Monsters defeated the Rochester Americans in a shootout on Friday at Blue Cross Arena by a final score of 4-3. With the win, the Monsters improved to 18-19-1-2 and with 39 points, currently occupy seventh place in the AHL's North Division standings. Rochester's John Gilmour posted a power-play goal at 14:45 of the opening period to give the Amerks a 1-0 lead through 20 minutes of play, but Cleveland's Ryan MacInnis leveled the score at 2:55 of the middle frame thanks to extra-man feeds from Andrew Peeke and Trey Fix-Wolansky. Fort Wayne, Ind. - The Fort Wayne Mad Ants defeated the Greensboro Swarm, 112-110, at the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum on Friday night. Mad Ants (12-14) forward Ben Moore converted a missed Walt Lemon Jr. layup with 2.2 seconds remaining to give the Mad Ants its third consecutive win. Bailey's Second Straight Hat Trick Powers Comets To Win

Utica, NY - Justin Bailey recorded his second straight and third hat trick in four games as the Comets topped the Hartford Wolf Pack 6-3 Friday night at the Adirondack Bank Center. Olli Juolevi, Kole Lind, and Carter Camper also added goals for Utica. Zane McIntyre made five saves on seven shots before being replaced by Michael DiPietro, who made 20 saves to earn the win.
