MLS cup loses half of last year's audience MLS Cup was aired 3pm on ABC Sunday, and it came in with only 823,000 viewers on the network. Across all channels (including Univision and TUDN) it pulled in 1.27 million viewers. The number of 18-49 viewers fell from 666k last year to 285k for 2019, an even steeper decline. It's a breeze: Wind Surge blow into Wichita

Wichita's current affair is a current of air. The Wind Surge have blown into town. In 2020, after a 12-season absence, Minor League Baseball is returning to Kansas' largest city. As of Wednesday evening, that team has a name: the Wichita Wind Surge -- Triple-A affiliate of the Miami Marlins -- relocated from New Orleans, where they had been known as the Baby Cakes. The Wind Surge will play in a brand new ballpark, which is being constructed on the same site where Lawrence-Dumont Stadium once stood. Bajkov Buries Biscuit in OT; Rabbits Sink Admirals

NORFOLK, Va. - With no lead safe on Wednesday night at the Scope, the Greenville Swamp Rabbits made sure the last one counted. Patrick Bajkov scored on the Swamp Rabbits' only shot of overtime in a 4-3 win over the Norfolk Admirals. Bajkov stripped former teammate Roman Ammirato of the puck upon zone entry and began a 2-on-1 break with Jake Horton. Bajkov took the shot himself from the right circle and beat former Swamp Rabbits goaltender Brandon Halverson clean over the blocker to end the game in favor of the Swamp Rabbits, who had dropped their last three games prior. Wolves Come Alive in Second Half, Defeat Stars for First Victory of 2019-20 Season

Des Moines, Iowa - The Iowa Wolves (1-1) defeated the Salt Lake City Stars (0-2) 122-116 Wednesday night at Wells Fargo Arena behind the play of two-way guard Jordan McLaughlin, who poured in a game-high 34 points. McLaughlin finished 11-of-17 from the field while collecting six rebounds and dishing out a team-high six assists. The Wolves outscored the Stars 68-55 in the second half after trailing by as many as 17 points in the game.
